Rod end bearings
JMC Rod end bearings consist of a spherical inner ring (that is a ball), a housing (that is a body) having a shank or extension with male or female thread and right-handed or left-handed thread and a bush (that is to say a bushing). Spherical inner rings are manufactured from SUJ2(carbon bearing steel) which is heated, precision ground, plated and dichromate treated to minimize friction of contacting surfaces. Housings are made of carbon steel called SM45C (KS) or S45C (JIS) and bushings are made from brass an alloy of Cu and Zn.
ApplicationRod ends are mainly used in the construction of control rod linkages, where tractive and compressive loads have to be transmitted through arrangements of adjustable control rods. These types are self-aligning bearings designed to carry both radial and thrust loads and to have a superior performance especially in rotational and oscillating motions. Therefore they are essential components to design machinery and improve their performances in various industrial fields.
